ALIGNMENT MANDREL. This mandrel is
used during the process of battlesight
zeroing and aligning the aiming light
and your weapon. There are two con-
figurations. The shorter mandrel is
approximately 5 inches (13 cm) long
and is used with the M16 Rifle. The
longer mandrel is used with the M60
Machine Gun and is approximately 7
inches (18 cm) long.
